[04:18.0]And cast off the violence that has us enthralled
[04:18.0]May healing not just be for the few
[04:18.0]May peace be found for me and you
[04:18.0]I speak of a message said thousands of times
[04:18.0]Yet we smile when it’s mentioned and roll our eyes
[04:18.0]It may be naive, but I must believe
[04:18.0]Inside every human there’s kindness still
[04:18.0]Hope is a fire that burns in us all
[04:18.0]If only an ember, awaiting your call
[04:18.0]To rise up in triumph should we all unite
[04:18.0]The spark for change is yours to ignite
[04:18.0]I believe this message is worth our time
[04:18.0]There are people who’ve suffered yet conquered the climb
[04:18.0]Who’ve sat in the stillness through darkness and light
[04:18.0]And found love in the colours between black and white
[04:18.0]May compassion turn foe into friend
[04:18.0]May self-awareness help us transcend
[04:18.0]May forgiveness be given, despite lives that were lost
[04:18.0]For isn’t it peace all of us want?
[04:18.0]The state of the world has been on my mind
[04:18.0]Demanding my conscience and all of my time
[04:18.0]Was there ever an age where it all made sense?
[04:18.0]Or am I reminiscing about lost innocence?
